Two bid awards will add more MoDOT money to the local area.
Yesterday the Highways and Transportation Commission approved a mitigation project in Ha Ha Tonka State Park. MoDOT will add rock to prevent shoreline erosion and also improve fish habitat. The project is meant to mitigate water flows from nearby highway projects.
The Highways and Transportation Commission awarded the contract to Chris Franken Construction of Linn Creek whose bid was just over $32,000. That work will start this winter and end next spring.
The Highways and Transportation Commission also awarded APAC the bid to widen and resurface approximately 25 miles of Highway 52. The road will get new asphalt and paved shoulders from U.S. Route 65 in Benton County to Route C in Morgan County. APAC had the low bid for the project at $6.2 million dollars. Work will begin there in the spring and be completed by next fall. |
