An Iberia woman is injured in a head on crash yesterday (11/11) in Pulaski County.
Seventy-six-year old Ruby Ross of Iberia was driving her 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix south on Highway 17, 4 miles north of Crocker about 8 o'clock yesterday morning. Ross swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway and ended up hitting the deer. The Grand Prix skidded out of control across the centerline and hit a 2005 Ford Focus driven by 22-year-old Rachelle Steen of Dixon. Steen and Ross were uninjured.
Fifty-three-year old Cynthia Ponder of Iberia, a passenger in the Grand Prix, was not wearing her seat belt and suffered moderate inujuries. She was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City. |
