More Facilities Referred to AG PDF Print E-mail

MoDNR is sending three more waste water treatment facilities to the Missouri Attorney General.

Buccaneer Bay LLC in Camden County, La Pergola Homeowners Association near Laurie, and Millstone Townhouses Owners Assocation in Morgan County were all referred yesterday.

Buccaneer Bay LLC operates the waste water treatment facility for five lakefront homes and two seven bedroom cabins, as well as Captain Ron’s Bar and Grill.  MoDNR says between June 3rd and June 7th of this year staff performed an inspection at the bay and it did not meet standards.  Specifically, MoDNR says one BIOPOD treatment unit, a re-aeration tank, and a flow measurement device were not installed.  MoDNR says Buccaneer Bay also violated effluent limitations.

At La Pergola, MoDNR says an inspection was performed in October and apparently the homeowners assocation has still not made state required wastewater treatment facility improvements.

And at the third facility, Millstone Townhouses, MoDNR says a required dechlorination unit was not installed by the beginning of last year as required in the operating permit.

All three are being sent for violations of Missouri’s Clean Water Law.
