An Eldon man is in the Miller County Jail facing distribution charges after investigation by several agencies.

Late last week the investigation led authorities to an apartment at 815 South Chestnut in Eldon. Police were told that ten pounds of marijuana and a large amount of cash were being held at the residence.

When the search warrant was served at the residence a strong odor of marijuana was noticed.  In the apartment, a soft cooler was discovered with 6 pounds of marijuana inside but no cash.  Authorities were able to locate and arrest Michael Ryan Miller of Eldon.  He is being held on a charge of distribution of a controlled substance with a $500,000 cash bond.

Another indivdual has been arrested in connection with this incident and once formal charges are made a name will be released.

The Miller County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the Lake Ozark and Eldon Police and the Mid-Missouri Multi Jurisdictional Drug Task Force for their assistance with this incident. Sheriff Bill Abbott recommends all illegal drug activity be reported to his department at 573-369-2341.
