An Eldon woman dies and a Tuscumbia woman is seriously injured in a two vehicle accident yesterday (11/4) in Miller County. 

    The accident happened at about 4:15 in the afternoon on Missouri 52 at VFW Road.  Seventy-six-year old Naomi Jenkins of Tuscumbia was headed west on Highway 52 in her 2000 Ford Focus when she attempted to make a left turn.  The Focus turned into the path of an eastbound 2005 Chevrolet driven by 40-year-old Tina Murphy of Linn Creek. The Chevy hit the focus broadside.

    Eighty-eight year old Clara Schulte of Eldon was a passenger in the Focus. She was belted in and suffered fatal injuries. Jenkins was also belted in and suffered serious injuries.  She was flown by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia. Murphy was also belted in and suffered moderate injuries.  She was taken to Lake Regional Hospital.

    This is fatality number 65 in 2009 for Highway Patrol Troop F.
