A Kansas City man is facing three weapons felonies after reportedly stalking a local woman. Just after midnight Thursday morning the Osage Beach Police Department was called to an apartment on Red Bud Road. The caller stated a man was in a car in the parking lot. The caller said the man in the lot was intoxicated and had a gun. Responding officers found 36-year-old Jason Brewer of Kansas City sitting in a BMW. Brewer was asked to exit the vehicle which was searched. Several guns were found including a loaded Smith and Wesson air weight .357 in the driver door panel, a loaded Walther P22 pistol with a silencer under the driver floor mat. Officers also found a loaded Sig Sauer P250 .9mm on the transmission hump in the backseat under some t-shirts. A .9mm magazine was on his passenger seat alongside some long rifle ammunition. Three knives including a switchblade were also found in the passenger compartment. In the trunk officers found of soft case with an LWRC M6A2 self loading rifle with a silencer and a magazine with 20 rounds. Osage Beach Sergeant Arlyne Page says Brewer also had the necessary fedral licenses for all of the weapons and silencers in an envelope in his glove box. "He has all the correct paperwork," Page said. "You cannot have a license to carry a switchblade so the switchblade is federally illegal no matter what." Because he was intoxicated the Kansas City man has been charged with three felony counts of unlawful possession of a weapon. He is being held in Camden County without bond. |
