The trial of a Lebanon man accused of murder which was supposed to start one week from today (11/23) in Camden County will be delayed until April.

Fifty-five year old Horst Sabla was supposed to appear in court next Monday to face charges of first degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of his wife Sharon. Sharon Sabla's body was found last November by hunters along side Route AA in Laclede County in a box filled with lime and concrete.

In a conference call with attorneys, 26th Judicial Circuit Judge Kenneth Hayden granted Sabla's attorney's motion for a continuance until April.  Sabla's attorney filed a motion last week to supress Horst's confession to law enforcement. The defense is also asking to investigate the certification of the Missouri State Highway Patrol crime lab that identified Sharon's body.

The public defender, Stacy Patterson, also said that a heavy case load has not given her enough time to fully prepare the case for trial.
