The local area is one step closer to having natural gas service.

The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved the request by Missouri Gas Utility to provide natural gas service to portions of Morgan, Camden, and Benton counties.  Missouri Gas Utility had approached the cities of Lake Ozark, Osage Beach, Sunrise Beach, and Camdenton, asking for the cities to sign off on natural gas franchise agreements.

With the Missouri Public Service Commission approval, Missouri Gas Utility will now begin the logistical process of running the lines from their current service area which is to the south and west of the lake area.

Missouri Gas Utility currently serves about 1,100 gas customers in the state of Missouri.
