Three fires that happened last Friday morning are under investigation.
At a little after 1:30 the Osage Beach Fire Protection District was called to a home off Bear Creek Road and Highway 42. At about 2:30 in the morning they were called to a house off of Rock Quarry Road and Highway 42.
District Fire Chief Jeff Dorhauer says both homes were unoccupied and had no electricity, no utilities, or ignition sources running to them.
“Witnesses saw a vehicle drive away shortly after both of them went up,” Dorhauer said. “So those are being investigated right now as incendiary.”
“The third one was an occupied structure with people out of town for Thanksgiving. All of them were within about a five mile radius of each other off of Bear Creek Road and 42.”
The third fire was in the Brumley Fire Protection District.
Dorhauer says his district is looking for any help from the public.
“Unless it happens again, without better witnesses or somebody coming forward it will be pretty tough to figure out.”
Both of the structures in the Osage Beach Fire Protection District were a complete loss.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the district at 348-1221. |
